MURRYSVILLE, Pa. - Gas drilling at Murrysville Community Park is a no-go for now.
Murrysville leaders shot down a lease offer from a Monroeville driller.
The company was interested in horizontal fracking below the park from an adjacent property.
Leaders backed off on the plan so that they could take more time to strengthen existing oil and gas rules and regulations.
Murrysville had originally planned to take the question of drilling under the park to voters. That plan is now off.
