Lancaster man accused of attacking 3 elderly women because of their faith

LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster man was arrested over the weekend after police said he attacked three Mennonite women because of their faith.

Dereck Taylor Holt is accused of posing as an insurance salesman on Friday to get into the victims' home.

Police said he punched, tied up and used a stun gun on the women who are between 84 and 90 years old.

Investigators said Holt told the women that he is a former Mennonite who was "speaking out to them against the religion."

The three women were hospitalized and are expected to be OK.
