Mostly sunny Friday before scattered showers, isolated storms move in Saturday

PITTSBURGH — Although there is the possibility of rain over the weekend, Severe Weather Team 11 meteorologist Alyssa Corfont said she expects Friday to be mostly sunny with low humidity.

Corfont said Friday should be warm with a high temperature around 81 degrees.

“Clouds will begin to roll in after the sun sets this evening, but we’ll stay dry overnight,” Corfont said.

She expects the low temperature Friday night into Saturday morning to be about 61 degrees.

On Saturday, Corfont said scattered showers are likely to develop by the afternoon. She also said an isolated storm is possible. The high temperature is expected to be around 77 degrees.

“The rain should be out of the area by noon (at the latest) on Sunday,” Corfont said.

She said she expects Sunday afternoon to be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid-70s.
