Someone saw the children in the car and called police.
"When I walked up to the vehicle, I noticed that there was a young baby in a car seat and another child about 5 years old. The baby was sweating profusely; his hair was stuck to his forehead," said New Sewickley police Officer Greg Pullen. "The kids were awake at the time. I did knock on the window and talked to the 5-year-old and asked if he was OK. He gave me the thumbs up."
According to police, Torrez did not think the situation was a problem. She admitted to drinking two beers and a shot while at the bar.
Torrez has been charged with child endangerment and public drunkenness.
