Oakmont Bakery renames pie ‘Penguins Cream Pie'

OAKMONT, Pa. — Another local business has shown support of the Penguins ahead of their Eastern Conference final matchup with the Boston Bruins.

Oakmont Bakery, located on Allegheny Avenue, posted a picture on its Facebook page Friday morning that shows it's changed the name of its Boston cream pies.

The sign now reads, “Penguins Cream.”

A Bloomfield bar gained national recognition after posting a sign on Thursday announcing it will not sell Boston beer for the duration of the Eastern Conference finals matchup between the Penguins and Bruins.

Howler's Coyote Café posted a photo of the sign on its Facebook page, which reads: "Two days left to order any Sam Adams. We will not be serving any Boston beers during the Eastern Conf. Finals!"

The Penguins and Bruins begin their best-of-seven series Saturday night at Consol Energy Center.
