Police: Man shot at officers responding to domestic dispute in Hempfield Twp.

GREENSBURG, Pa. — Police arrested a man who they said fired shots at officers Friday morning in Hempfield Township causing part of the Turnpike to shut down.

Authorities said Daniel Ryan fired shots at them while they were responding to a domestic dispute at his home on Antler Lane in Greensburg about 5 a.m. Friday.

Toll Route 66 from Delmont to Connellsville was closed while police attempted to arrest Ryan.

Authorities said Ryan was taken into custody without incident, and the road reopened.

There is no word on what charges he faces.
