According to police paperwork, Patricia Katchur shot her husband Christopher while he was sitting on the steps outside their home.

Channel 11's Joe Holden reports Christopher Katchur had obtained an emergency restraining order against his wife just hours before the shooting.

Patricia had left the home after a fight over the weekend.

Police said she returned Wednesday with two guns, after removing an air condition and breaking through a window to get inside the house.

Patricia told police she fell asleep after breaking in, and awoke to her husband telling her to get out.

That is when she followed Christopher outside and shot him.

“I heard arguing earlier in the day. I drove past and police were on the porch with the couple. After that the police left and we didn’t hear anything until we came home to a crime scene,” said Nicole Vantine, a neighbor of Katchur.

Police said that a neighbor recorded the entire incident on his cell phone and is turning the video over to the police.

Investigators said that Patricia admitted to the shooting and said that it was not an accident.

Patricia Katchur was arrested and charged with homicide.
