Police respond to fight at Pittsburgh group home, find juvenile not breathing

PITTSBURGH — Police found a juvenile unresponsive when responding to a fight at a group home for adolescent boys in Carrick.

According to Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler, the violent fight occurred about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Circle C Youth and Family Services home on Carrick Avenue.

Toler said three juveniles were involved in the altercation, one of whom was unresponsive and not breathing when police arrived. CPR was started before paramedics arrived. A pulse was found and the juvenile was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital.

Police took the other two juveniles involved in the fight into custody, Toler said. Homicide detectives are investigating.
