Seth Meyers completes the ‘Steelers running back hat trick'

PITTSBURGH — Seth Meyers, a big-time Pittsburgh Steelers fan, completed what he referred to as the “Steelers running back hat trick” last week in Arizona at the Super Bowl.

Meyers talked about his encounters with his Steelers heroes Wednesday night on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Meyers said met Hall of Fame running back Franco Harris at the NFL Honors Saturday night.

He also met the newly-elected Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis.

Then, Meyers said he ran into current running back Le’Veon Bell in the elevator.

When Meyers explained he was a Steelers fan and congratulated Bell on a good season, Bell replied, “Thank you, sir.”

Meyers said he was disappointed to realize he is double the age of Bell.

“To him, I’m just an old man,” Meyers said.

Meyers then went on to explain why he is NOT a New England Patriots fan, despite being from Boston.
