Police looking for third suspect in case of identity thefts using skimmers at gas stations

PITTSBURGH — Police fear hundreds of people may have been victimized by two women accused of using credit card skimmers to commit identity theft at Pittsburgh-area gas stations and ATMs.

So far, there are 10 known victims, but it is unclear at how many businesses Yordanko Oliva, 45, and her sister Iskra Oliva, 43, installed the skimmers, authorities said.

"It's not something I look for; really don't think about it. You're just trying to get your gas and go," said Alisha Graham.

A skimmer was placed on at least one pump at a Marathon gas station on Washington Pike in Heidelberg, according to police.

The Olivia sisters, who are from Florida, were arrested Tuesday at a Bridgeville hotel, according to police. They were found with tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry, clothing, tools and gift cards, which police said were purchased using stolen credit card and debit card numbers.

Authorities said the sisters tried to check into the hotel using the stolen credit card information of a Heidelberg woman.

"They had my card number and they evidently had my pin number," the woman, who did not want to be identified, told Channel 11. "I think there a lot of
victims out there that, at this point, are not aware that they are a victim."

Investigators said four of the known victims are Heidelberg residents. Others are from Carnegie, Scott and Collier.

Police are looking for a third suspect, Lexter Castro Tellez, also from Florida.
