Man found in New Kensington alley with gunshot wound to head dies

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — A man found shot in New Kensington late Sunday died at a Pittsburgh hospital Monday, the Westmoreland County medical examiner told Channel 11 News on Tuesday

Police were called to Moss Alley shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.

Officers said they found the victim, who New Kensington police Chief James Klein identified as Todd Rogers, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head and stomach.

He was flown in critical condition to a Pittsburgh hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Monday.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen or heard the shooting to call New Kensington police.
