Middle school teacher accused of exposing himself to neighbors

PITTSBURGH — A teacher in the Franklin Regional School District is accused of exposing himself to his neighbors.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by Channel 11 News, neighbors in O’Hara Township recorded the incidents involving Jeff Blahusch four times.

Police said the 47-year-old Blahusch, who is a science teacher and girls’ basketball coach at Franklin Regional Middle School, masturbated on his back porch, which faces a neighbor’s house.

When officers confronted him, Blanhusch told them, “I have ruined our lives and destroyed my family. I am a school teacher and I’m going to lose my job," according to the criminal complaint.

District spokesperson Cara Zanella released the following statement to Channel 11 News:

"The Franklin Regional School District was made aware of a situation involving one of its employees. The District wishes to stress that this particular situation reported did not involve any Franklin Regional students and did not take place on any District property. Blanhusch was arrested Tuesday night and posted bail Thursday. He is charged with indecent exposure and open lewdness.
