Channel 11 News is now beginning its Saturday and Sunday newscasts one-half hour earlier (at 5 a.m.). In addition, a weekend version of the "Today Show" has been added to the weekend mix.
"The ratings have shown us that there is a high demand for local news and quality programming on weekend mornings. And if that's what the viewers want, that's what we'll give them," said WPXI-TV Vice President and General Manager Ray Carter. "At Channel 11, we're in a terrific position to invest and grow the time we spend covering stories that matter to Pittsburgh. Our local commitment is unwavering. We also have the great benefit of being a partner with NBC. The 'Today Show' has always been a mainstay for viewers during the week, and we are thrilled that we can now bring them that same great show on the weekend."

5-7 a.m. = Channel 11 News
7-9 a.m. = Weekend Today
9-10:30 a.m. = Channel 11 News
5-8 a.m. = Channel 11 News
8-9 a.m. = Weekend Today
