Police ask for public's help finding man who left Westmoreland Co. psychiatric hospital

TORRANCE, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help locating a man who left a psychiatric hospital in Westmoreland County on Tuesday morning and hasn’t been seen since.

Timothy Smith, 26, left Torrance State Hospital about 10:30 a.m. Police said he takes a daily medication and could suffer "severe health problems" if he doesn’t take it.

Smith was believed to have been wearing a black jacket, a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg at 724-832-3288.
