Police: Man found in possession of 10 bricks of heroin during traffic stop

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A man was arrested on drug charges Thursday after a traffic stop in Wilkinsburg, police said.

The Wilkinsburg Police Department said detectives pulled over a vehicle at 2:40 p.m. in the 700 block of Hill Avenue. Police said the detectives noticed a back seat passenger in the vehicle attempt to conceal something in the groin area of his pants.

The man, identified as Aaron Tipton, was removed from the vehicle and searched. Authorities said the detectives found 10 bricks of heroin on him.

Tipton was taken into custody and taken to the Wilkinsburg police station. He was found to have an additional bundle - 10 bags - of heroin on him at the station, police said.

Tipton was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
