Federal investigators said 19 people are facing charges as part of a drug sweep Wednesday targeting homes in Allegheny, Butler and Beaver counties.
Officials said some of the suspects remain at large, while others were apprehended during the raids.
In Monaca, a SWAT team swarmed a Marshall Road home just before 6 a.m., surprising not only the people inside, but also neighbors.

Police searched the suspects’ cars and inside the home looking for drugs. Neighbors said the people arrested in the home kept to themselves and they didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.
People living on the block said they hope things can get back to the quiet community they’re used to now that the alleged drug suspects are off their street.
“It’s good to keep them out. We don’t want any violence around here,” said Frank Bridges, who lives nearby.
Federal investigators said they hope to release more information about the case possibly on Thursday.
