Arrest made in deadly shooting in McKeesport

One man was killed and another was injured after a shooting in McKeesport Saturday.

Wyatt L. Gaza, 28, of Pittsburgh was killed Saturday afternoon.

Investigators confirmed the shooting took place around 1:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Jenny Lind Street.

Damien Ashley, 28, was driven to the hospital privately and had multiple gunshot wounds as well.

Police said there was an “exchange of gunfire” between the two men.

Gaza was killed at the scene, while Ashley was ultimately flown to a Pittsburgh hospital where he is in stable condition.

Investigators determined Ashley shot the victim and fled after also being shot.

He's charged with criminal homicide, tampering with evidence, persons not to possess firearms and carrying a firearm without a license.
