Attorney for one of the men involved in violent arrest outside of PPG Paints Arena speaks

PITTSBURGH — Attorney Phil DiLucente held a media conference Thursday regarding his client Daniel Adelman, who is one of the men involved in the violent arrest outside of PPG Paints Arena Tuesday night.

DiLucente said Adelman underwent some more checks at a hospital in Ohio today. He said his client has symptoms that mimic a concussion and a dislocated shoulder.

The video of the Pittsburgh Police officers slamming a man's head into the ground and then tasing him has at least one officer on desk duty.

The man being punched in the video is Adelman, according to DiLucente.

“My client’s actions was in no way trying to resist arrest or obstruct law enforcement. It was not an intentional act,” DiLucente said. “He didn’t really know the situation, just wanted to assist.”

DiLucente admitted his client had a few drinks while at the concert at PPG Paints Arena Tuesday night.

He said his client didn't know the other man police arrested in the video, David Jones, who was wanted on a warrant out of Cranberry Township.

The now viral video is only about a minute long, but DiLucente said he wants to see more than just what's in this video.

The video now has three different agencies doing an investigation.

Adelman is being charged with obstructing the administration of law, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness, police said.

Police told Channel 11 they will be able to release more details after all the investigations are finished.
