McKEESPORT, Pa. — A cat sat perched on a window ledge at a Lamont Street house hours after a fire gutted the second floor of the McKeesport home.
Neighbors tell Channel 11 one of her kittens saved the two people who were sound asleep inside on Friday morning.
“They said the cat came in the room and jumped on them because of the smoke,” said next-door neighbor Emma Ackerman.

“If they would have waited an hour or two more, they would not have lived,” said ….
The two people who lived in the home are being helped by the Red Cross. Firefighters say the cat credited with saving two lives should get a nice treat.
