A cat that was in an SUV that plunged off a railroad bridge and into the Ohio River has died.
The animal, named Stevie, died Saturday.
According to
, the cat experienced complications following surgery to repair an abdominal injury. The wound became septic, the post said.

Humane Animal Rescue is also caring for a dog, named Lucky, which was rescued from Brunot Island following the accident.
The dog appeared to be a great condition, according to veterinarians.
Lisa Patterson, 44, of Bloomfield, drowned in the car.
Officials are still investigating how she ended up on the railroad bridge.
