Contractor accused of stealing thousands of dollars from newlywed couple

Shamus O'Donnell and his brand new bride Amy never got the kitchen they wanted.

The Penn Township, Butler County, newlyweds are fixing up their first home together. Shamus did most of the work, but left the kitchen to professionals. He had a wedding to plan, so he piad $8,000 down to Christian Sheasley, who Shamus says never came back to do the work.

“He was supposed to come and give us new cabinets and possibly countertops,” said Shamus O’Donnell. “We went with someone local someone who had good reviews and was recommended.”

But Shamus didn’t know the owner of Linx Creative Kitchen and Bath on Route 8 filed for bankruptcy Oct. 5.

Channel 11 went to Sheasley's office, but the door was locked. We called, but the number is disconnected.

Channel 11 did some more digging and found Sheasley is facing criminal charges in Allegheny County. Police say he did the very same thing to folks in Hampton Township and Mt. Lebanon.

Shamus told Channel 11 Tuesday he knew something was up; he contracted the job in May and said by October, Sheasley ran out of excuses and stopped all communication.

“What are you going to do?” Shamus O’Donnell said. “No reason to get mad about it, it's not gonna change anything.”

Butler County police have an arrest warrant for Sheasley.
