PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Diocese is responding to reports about what another diocese is doing to protect parishioners during flu season.
The Catholic Diocese of Portland, Maine, is suspending the sharing of wine during Eucharist and hand holding during the Lord's Prayer.
The moves are an effort to stop the spread of flu.
Channel 11 checked with the Pittsburgh Diocese; we're told they're looking over the situation and leaving decisions up to individual churches.
