OHIO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Pittsburgh man was killed Thursday afternoon as he changed a flat tire on his vehicle along Interstate 279 in Ohio Township.
Scott F. Hirsh, 55, was struck near the Camp Horne Road exit just before 1:30 p.m., according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office. The weather was rainy and foggy at the time.

The interstate was limited to one lane for hours in that area as police investigated.
The driver, 65-year-old Lynn Nystrom, is charged with careless driving.
