Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire at the abandoned home on Talbot Avenue.
Witnesses told police they saw fire coming out of the windows on the top floor and then saw someone leaving the house; whatever was going on inside led to a two-alarm fire.
Braddock police say they've had issues with squatters in this abandoned home and others.
"We've had issues with it, the owner has boarded it up, but people have been pulling it down and breaking back in, but fortunately no one was hurt," Chief Guy Collins with Braddock police said.
The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
