  • "Giant anteaters glance up as you approach, flicking their two-foot-long tongues and scooping up food from the specially designed termite mound. These mammals' tongues move 150 times per minute.
  • "Floating quietly in an 8,500-gallon pool or lounging in green grass is the world's largest rodent, the capybara. Capybaras can move fast when they need to and are surprisingly buoyant in the water. They like to float in the water because it moisturizes and protects their very dry skin.

  • "Fossas are distinctive animals with a cat-like face, dog-like snout, weasel-like ears and penetrating eyes. They look laid-back, but fossas are top predators.
  • "The ocelot easily blends in with the leaves as he lounges on large branches. No two ocelots look the same, and this cat prefers to remove all the feathers and fur from their prey with his rough, sharp tongue before chowing down.
  • "Large viewing windows enable visitors to view the pygmy hippo above and below as he swims and floats in his 15,000-gallon pool. He may be small when compared to the common hippo, but his huge mouth and sharp teeth are enough to keep most predators away. In the wild, pygmy hippos are endangered and are only found in parts of Liberia."
