A 24-year-old man died after being shot several times in Wilkinsburg on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The Allegheny County Examiner's Office identified the man as Lamont Darnell Carry of East Pittsburgh.
Allegheny County emergency dispatchers received a call at 4:45 p.m. about a shooting in the 1300 block of Wood Street near the intersection with Singer Place, according to county police.
The victim ran to the 1300 block of Hays Street where first responders found him. He was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition, but he later died.
County homicide detectives are investigating.
