A man was shot after a car pulled up alongside his on the Birmingham Bridge and someone opened fire Saturday night.

The man arrived at an unspecified hospital just before 7 p.m., according to Public Safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler. He has a gunshot wound to the buttocks and is in stable condition.
Toler said he was in a black Cadillac sedan heading north across the bridge when an unknown vehicle pulled up on the passenger side and someone fired several shots into the Cadillac.
