A celebration of life was held for Dakota James on Saturday.
The memorial service was held at Calvary United Methodist Church on Beech Avenue in Pittsburgh.
James, who was a graduate student at Duquesne University, disappeared on Jan. 25. He was last seen in downtown Pittsburgh, and family members joined volunteers to search for him every weekend since he disappeared. His body was pulled from the Ohio River on Monday.
The cause and manner of the 23-year-old's death remains undetermined, pending toxicology results.
