Missing woman considered 'potentially endangered'; reportedly made suicidal statements

Pittsburgh police are looking for a missing woman who they consider ‘potentially endangered.’

Shauntae Rose, 36, of Oakland has not been seen for several days.

According to police, she’s 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.

Police said she's considered endangered because she reportedly made suicidal statements to a relative.

Pittsburgh River Rescue searched the Monongahela over the weekend and will continue to search the rivers, according to police.

Rose's sister, Patricia, said she's a singer who would perform in Pittsburgh and her hometown, Buffalo, New York.

Channel 11 learned Rose's son was shot and killed last week and she hasn't been seen since.

Her sister said the last time Rose called was Oct. 23 to say her only son was murdered. Jason Estes was just 20 years old when police say he was gunned down in Homewood.

Patricia said Rose based her life around him and his death was a devastating blow.

"I'm praying that she didn't do anything to herself. I'm thinking she needed some time to herself and if that's the case, just call us and let us know that you are OK," Patricia said.
