Officials dismissed students at Moon Area High School early on Thursday after a threat was discovered there.
Police do not find the threat to be credible, according to Jerry Testa, president of the district board of education, but officials wanted to be cautious.

Students were sent home at about 1:30 p.m.
Police will have a more visible presence in the district “for the forseeable future,” Testa said in a statement.
The district will also add safety measures beginning Friday.
