Channel 11 reported last month that more than 20 people came forward to complain about the company. Some customers said they paid thousands of dollars for flooring, but the locations they ordered from suddenly closed.
Some alleged victims placed orders at the store in Beaver, others at the location in Cranberry Township.
"We wrote the check. I looked into the salesman's eyes and he looked into mine and he took the money knowing. He knew. We believe he knew at that moment he had no intention of getting us our carpeting," said former customer Connie Sluzynsky.
Beaver police filed charges against Muller on Tuesday night, alleging he stole nearly $34,000 from at least 17 customers, including Karen Hornstein.
"It all started falling apart back in August when his businesses were going under and shutting down, but he continued to take money day after day, month after month," Hornstein said.
Muller is scheduled to appear in court on the charges May 1. Stay with Channel 11 News and WPXI.com for continuing coverage.
