Pittsburgh native Mark Cuban buys town in Texas

MUSTANG, Texas — Pittsburgh area native and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban now owns an entire town in Texas.

The Dallas Morning News reported the purchase of the town of Mustang in Navarro County, about 55 miles south of Dallas, according to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth. Mustang has a population of 23 people.

Cuban, who is originally from Mount Lebanon, told The Dallas Morning News that he bought the town last month to help a friend.

Cuban has not decided what he’s going to do with the property.

It’s not clear how much Cuban paid for Mustang, but The Dallas Morning News reported that the town hit the market in 2017, when it was listed for $4 million.
