Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium reaches 1 million visitors

HIGHLAND PARK — The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium is celebrating a major milestone.

The zoo officially welcomed its one millionth visitor over the weekend.  So far, this year, the zoo has had over 1,000,510 annual visitors.

This is the second year the zoo reached 1 million visitors.

Achieving this goal proves that we are providing our visitors with a unique experience.”

Officials said the zoo’s exhibits Jungle Odyssey and the Dinosaur Adventure along with last week’s Penguins on Parade helped this year’s attendance.
