PLUM, Pa. — The Plum School District is looking to beef up security after a series of bomb threats rattled students and teachers this year.
According to our partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, the district is now considering adding metal detectors, more surveillance cameras and security gates at the high school.
The district's superintendent tells Channel 11 no decisions will be made until a safety coordinator is hired.

That person would oversee safety for students and employees in the district and would report to the school board.
The Tribune reports the board also postponed talking about having school police similar to Gateway and Butler Area School Districts.
