Police: Man took pregnant wife to motel, threatened to kill her

CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police say a man beat his pregnant wife at a Chartiers Township motel, put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her, then himself.

She only got help when she convinced him to take her to a Med-Express in South Strabane Township and asked a nurse for assistance, according to police.

That nurse called 911 and said a woman, who was six months pregnant, had been beaten by her husband.

Chartiers police swarmed the parking lot and arrested 39-year-old Glenn Dillon.

The victim told investigators he took her to the Microtel Inn and Suites in Chartiers Township. According to the criminal complaint, she said her husband was in a "jealous rage."

The criminal complaint goes on to say Dillion slapped and punched her in the face and head, giving her a laceration to her forehead. Also according to the criminal complaint, he strangled her to the point she could not breathe, before pointing a loaded 9mm gun to her head and saying he was going to kill her then himself.

Nine months ago, a Washington County woman was badly beaten by her husband, who also threatened to kill her and himself.

In this case, Magistrate Traci McDonald, a former prosecutor in domestic violence cases, set a steep bail of $1,000,000, adding stipulations for more stringent oversight. She also ruled that Dillon's bond may not be posted until he faces a Common Pleas Court judge, who should determine if extra supervision is needed, and that he not be released from the Washington County Jail until further order of the court.

Dillion is charged with attempted homicide.
