SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are searching for the person who robbed the NexTier Bank on Babcock Boulevard in Shaler Township on Saturday morning.
A man walked into the bank shortly after 10:30 a.m. and passed a note to a teller that said he had a gun. No gun was seen.
The man got away with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

No injuries were reported.
The man was black and about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a two-tone blue Puma jacket with a white stripe, a Pirates baseball cap and a glove.
Word about the robbery spread quickly through the community.
"When you hear stuff like that, it's very disconcerting about where our society is," said resident Netty Hoffman.
Hoffman said crime in Shaler is rare, especially a bank robbery, but said these are different times.
"People are more desperate," Hoffman said.
