CARNEGIE, Pa. — Officials have released a preliminary cause in a deadly fire in Carnegie Friday.
According to the Allegheny County Fire Marshal, the cause appears to be accidental.
Preliminary findings are that the fire started because of unattended cooking in a second-floor apartment on Broadway Street.
The person inside had fallen asleep, according to a news release.
The investigation is ongoing.
