ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A violator of Megan’s Law has surrendered to authorities after failing to register his new address, according to deputies.
Jamal Tompkins, 28, was wanted on three warrants for violating his probation and parole.
Tompkins was convicted in 2011 of sexual assault and corruption of minors and was required to register as a sex offender.

When deputies went to look for him for the probation violation, they found he was not living at the registered address.
An anonymous tip Monday led deputies with the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office to Valley Terrace Apartment Complex in Aliquippa.
According to a press release, Tompkins’ girlfriend convinced him to surrender.
Tompkins was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
