SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — At least 12 vehicles were burglarized or vandalized in a 24-hour period in Shaler Township, police said.
The incidents were reported in the area of Hodil Road.
In one case, a vehicle’s tires were slashed, police said. In others, small items like loose change, chargers and sunglasses were stolen.

One victim told police that she found a Nintendo in her car -- but it didn’t belong to her.
While the vehicles’ owners admitted to leaving their doors unlocked, police are increasing patrols in the area.
