Laurel Highlands School District will be closed on Monday.
According to the superintendent, the district will use an Act 80 day in an effort to "ensure the safety, well-being and peace of mind of our students, staff and community."
Staff will still report to work.

The move is in response to a similar and unrelated threat, that, according to the superintendent, did not rise to the level of the threat uncovered in a neighboring school district.
On Friday, a 14-year-old boy was arrested when multiple weapons were found in his bedroom after Pennsylvania State Police received a tip about threats of a shooting at Uniontown High School, authorities said.
Pennsylvania State Police will be present both in and outside the school buildings at Laurel Highlands in response to the threat made.
