Tractor-trailer overturns, caused traffic back-ups on Interstate 79

CANONSBURG, Pa, — Traffic was snarled on Interstate 79 near the Canonsburg exit after a crash involving a tractor-trailer Wednesday morning.

Investigators said a tractor-trailer crashed and overturned around 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-79 between Southpointe and Canonsburg.

Channel 11 saw several emergency and rescue vehicles on the scene.

Police haven’t released details on what caused the crash or if anyone was injured.

One lane is closed in the area of the crash.
