A fire that began in a garage moved to a Beaver County home Saturday night, eventually destroying both.
A woman who lived in the home escaped the fire in Chippewa with her dog and nothing else after noticing the smoke and flames, said fire Chief Jaye Graham.

Her husband had left just prior to the fire breaking out on Coralberry Road.
Graham said the car in the garage was destroyed, and the house was completely gutted.
Firefighters managed to save the woman’s purse from the home, but nothing else.
