DEWEY BEACH, Del. — A passenger tow trolley overturned Saturday sending 12 people to the hospital with injuries.
Police said the Jolly Trolley vehicle, carrying 22 passengers for a wedding party, overturned around 4:40 p.m. along Coastal Highway (Route 1), according to Delaware State Police. The van towing it did not overturn.
At least 12 passengers were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The trolley company has not released a statement regarding the incident, according to NBC10.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash, which could be wind related, according to NBC10. Gusts hit up to 15 mph in that area. No citations were issued.
