BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — Woodland Hills and Clairton high school held bone marrow registration drives Friday to benefit an Aliquippa football player in need of a transplant to survive.
According to Channel 11 News' exchange partners, TribLive, the two schools announced on social media that they would be holding the drives during their WPIAL playoff games in effort to help 19-year-old DiMantae Bronaugh, who's fighting cancer for the second time.
Bronaugh is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia and will likely need a black donor, according to TribLive.
Clairton High School held a drive at Neil C. Brown Stadium and Woodland Hills High School had its drive during its playoff game at Wolvarena in Turtle Creek, according to TribLive.
