Adam Brock, the first contestant from the Pittsburgh area to compete on “American Idol," will sing live tonight on the mega-popular television show.  Go Adam!

Adam, 27, auditioned for “American Idol” at Heinz Field, home of the Steelers, in Pittsburgh.  The jazzy, bluesy singer sailed through to Hollywood Week and continued to impress judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler during the Las Vegas rounds.  Last week, the judges revealed that Adam made the top 24.

"Like" Adam on Facebook! He posted some voting rules on his page today.

Adam tweeted today, "Are my#Brockstars ready to #BrockTheVote tonight?!! I will do my part to do the best of my ability if you do yours and WATCH&VOTE."  Follow Adam on Twitter.

You can tell this guy has passion even in his tweets!  Another reason I’m a big fan of Adam -- He’s such a nice guy!

While the Hollywood episodes were airing on television, Adam visited me at WPXI-TV.  He’s super down to earth!  His dad was with him and took cell phone photos of our station and the two of us together (one of the photos included in this blog).   I thought that was cute!  My dad would have done the same thing.

Adam’s wife, Joanna, and their daughter, Whitney, didn’t make the trip to our station.  I would have loved to have met them.  Please, how cute is little Whitney with her big bows?!  I love her.

During Adam’s visit, I asked him, “What would winning ‘American Idol’ mean to you?”

“I can’t really wrap my head around what it would mean to win.  I’m just shocked and an in awe of each step. I know it would change our life as a family.  It would give me the opportunity to become the artist that I always hoped to be.  It would allow me to make my living on singing, which is what I always wanted to do,” he said.

That’s all for now.  I can’t wait to watch the show tonight!  Go Adam!
