Woman, 80, escapes house fire in Lincoln-Lemington

PITTSBURGH — An 80-year-old woman was able to escape from her home in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood after a fire Sunday morning, officials said.

The fire was reported about 10 a.m. at the home on Oakdene Street. Investigators said it is believed that the fire started in the kitchen.

Channel 11's Lori Houy reported that the woman was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

It is unclear what caused the fire.
