More than 17,000 fans showed up for games, pictures, a BMX stunt show, flying disc-catching dogs and, most importantly, watching the Steelers practice.

James Conner had his jersey and cleats on but did not make contact. The rookie said his goal is to be ready for the preseason opener Friday in New York against the Giants.
Rookie wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster said, "I wouldn't want to play anywhere else than the best place in the country, with the Steelers, with the fans, the best fans in the country and all the support."
Fans started lining up before noon and there were games to pass the time. For the most part, fans said there was a lot of waiting, but they were excited for the opportunity to see their favorite team.
“I go to Latrobe and I love it there, but this just gives it even more hype being at the stadium (and) being around more people (and) being around a lot more fans,” one fan said.
