Steelers lose Timmons, Wheaton to free agency

MIAMI — Linebacker Lawrence Timmons is taking his talents to South Beach.

The Steelers free agent signed a two year, $12 million dollar contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to

Timmons spent the first 10 years of his career in Pittsburgh after being a first round pick out of Florida State University.

Wide receiver Markus Wheaton is headed to Chicago.
