Penguins-Senators schedule released; Mayor Peduto makes wager

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins will host the Ottawa Senators in Game 1 of the 2017 Eastern Conference Final this Saturday, May 13 at 7 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena.

Game 1 will be nationally broadcast on NBC, Channel 11.

Game 2 will be played on Monday, May 15 at 8 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena.

The series shifts to Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa for Game 3 on Wednesday, May 17 at 8 p.m. Game 4 on Friday, May 19, at Canadian Tire Centre will also be played at 8 p.m.

Games 2-4 and potential games 6 and 7 will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network. If there is a Game 5, it will be broadcast on NBC, Channel 11.

Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto made a friendly wager with Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson. Peduto tweeted that he will put up $1,000, which will go to the winner’s charity of choice.

If the Penguins win the series, Peduto said the money will go to the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania.
