Ones to Watch: Hilary Knight

BEIJING, China — The U.S. women’s hockey team is the reigning Olympic champion, and you’ll watch to watch one of the returning members of the team, forward Hilary Knight.

The four-time Olympian already has one gold and two silver medals and hopes to add to that.

Knight is the old veteran on this year’s team at 32 years old.

She believes the team combination of 15 Olympic veterans and 8 young newcomers is a recipe for success.

“When you play with the best players in the world, it makes the game easier,” she said. “The game kind of slows down. You can kind of communicate via body language. You just know where each other is and I think we complement each other in the best way.”

The U.S. women’s hockey team has medaled in every Olympics since the sport was introduced in 1998. They begin play on February 3 against Finland.
